Our Catholic faith is at the heart of all we do at St. John Berchmans; it is the key component that sets our school apart from the rest. The study of our faith is an integral part of our school day, beginning and ending each school day with school wide prayer. All students participate in daily religion classes as well as weekly, student-led liturgies.
St. John Berchmans Catholic School teaches children to embody the virtues of piety, integrity, charity, humility; and to value the sanctity of human life and the dignity of the human person. Students develop and practice the basic doctrines and traditions of our Catholic Faith
.
Students cultivate a unique, special relationship with God and experience the beauty of spiritual life within the St. John Berchmans Church Community through participation in:
* Sunday Liturgy
* Saints' feast days
* Our Lady of Guadalupe Day
* Weekly Mass
* The Sacraments
* Living Stations of The Cross

Sacramental Program
The Sacrament of Reconciliation and First Communion takes place in second grade and is an essential part of the Religion curriculum. Prior to the celebration of the sacraments, a student must have received at least one complete year of faith formation in a Catholic School or Religious Education program and be baptized. Students outside of second grade who have not already celebrated these sacraments are invited to attend a preparation program with their parish or St. John Berchmans Catholic Church.
